PROJECT UPDATES
MANGO VALLEY ROAD
On November 24, 2024, Robert Montague spoke at the Jamaican Labour Party’s (JLP) 81st annual conference. In his address, Montague states “we have things to do, and we are doing them according to our timetable”. He apologizes to Mango Valley and other communities for delays but assures them there is an actionable plan in progress.
Over the last several weeks leading into February 2025 we have seen the commencement of work on Mango Valley Road. Although construction is not taking place every day, we are seeing that steady work is being completed and have heard that the new road will extend up to Ramble, a community that is far past the Gates of Edgehill. As and when significant progress takes place, we will circulate additional video footage as was recently shared in another email.
THE COMMUNITY CLUBHOUSE AND POOL
The team at The Gates of Edgehill is dedicated to moving the clubhouse forward toward completion. The Edgehill team met with the architect on February 18 2025 that is reviewing the updated designs for the pool and its enclosing areas.
The rear boundary wall of the pool area can be completed prior to having received the finalized updated designs from the architect. So, in the interim, we have instructed the team to commence the construction of the rear boundary wall of the clubhouse, which will be required for the enclosure of the pool within the property. Work on the rear boundary wall has now commenced.
The gym equipment and other furniture for the Clubhouse are in storage on the site. Over the next few weeks, you may notice the Edgehill team moving the boxes and gym equipment into the clubhouse in an effort to begin the preparations of opening the clubhouse.
LANDSCAPING
You may have noticed that most of the driveways for homes around Phase 1 have now been poured. With these driveways in place, we plan to install the zaza grass in all lots except those which are the Diana walkouts in Phase 1. This will assist in cleaning up the majority of the area in Phase 1 and relieving most of the dust that may be blown from those areas which do not yet have grass. Final planting of each lot will be completed prior to or at the time of possession by a new owner.
Further, you may have seen that our landscaping workforce has been increased dramatically in an effort to complete landscaping for those lots where it is required.
Additionally, most boundary walls between properties have now been completed where and as required.
PHASES 2 AND 3
Phases 2 and 3 lands are being cleared to allow for the surveyor to have access to the parcels to complete a ground topographical survey, which will be used to finalize the plans leading into the subsequent phases. We hope to share further updates on these plans as they become available.
Watch for more updates coming in the future.
